Thirty Days to go...
As of today I have about thirty days 'til Evie is home for good. Well, until kindergarten anyway. With the uncertainty of COVID and the insane cost of preschool it just seemed like the right time to keep her home for a bit. Don't get me wrong, I love her preschool/daycare. She has been there since she was a baby and they are absolutely amazing people who I have grown to love and trust so much over the last several years. On the flip side though, this is an opportunity. This is the last time I have this chance to have Evie home with me until she goes to school. Then we will have limited time for vacation and 13 wonderful summers but ultimately, nothing like the time we have right now. So I'm gearing up once again to be a full time work at home single mama. Working full time while caring for a preschooler is no joke but having done it once before (thanks pandemic!!) I have a good idea how to structure it this time. So here is a little preview of the next 365ish days! Today Evie came home and immediately asked to do some "science" (which as a major geek and science lover I am ALWAYS down for!) so I set up a few kids test tubes for her and we threw in some baking soda and then she got to add the vinegar to make these fun baby volcanos. We did some magic color ones in the grass as well so scroll down for those! Just pop a few drops of food color on the bottom of the cup and put the baking soda on top so the vinegar will reveal the color. :)
Stay tuned to see what the next year brings us!
