Into the night to save the day...

Since this week was Labor Day we are spending the week learning about careers. Evie's first career choice when she was younger was an astronaut, however, now she is in love with the idea of being a ballerina. While she loves to dance the few times we've dabbled in ballet classes she hasn't been so enamored but I suppose anything could happen and it's fun to dream. So I printed out a little Strawberry Shortcake ballerina for her to color.

We are also focusing on some other careers this week and have been doing some worksheets geared towards careers and community helpers. She did a great job matching up careers to their tools.

Today we talked about farmers and how they grow food for us and raise animals for us to eat. We played a little matching game with veggies and played with a little felt farm for awhile.

We also talked about how plants need sunshine and dirt to make energy and we made this little "energy" bracelet which changes color in the sun! As a bonus this bracelet helped Evie to understand why it's so important to always wear sunscreen. :P

Evie did all her chores last month so she earned herself a new watch (snagged this on Amazon in a damaged box for like $3!) and even though it's huge she loves it and says now she has an "Apple Watch" like mama. We wrapped up our evening at Nana's house like every Tuesday.
