Monster guts...

Monday again and this week is Monster Week!! Evie was really excited about this weeks theme and we had a really fun first day! We started our day with her sensory bin which I filled with monster "guts" and which she hated. 😂 She is a little weird about certain textures so I wasn't SUPER surprised she didn't want her hands in slimy, squishy stuff but she tried and that's what counts.

Later in the morning she made some monsters out of play-doh and we did some letter and shape tracing with monster themed sheets.

For our movement time today I set up a little dance class for Evie with SamCam. She has free online classes for adults, toddlers, and kids and there are a ton to choose from. We did a trolls dance class today and Evie broke out her microphone to do some ballet. She had a blast!

We made some monster slime with metallic glue and some eyeballs which she actually liked a lot. She played with it for about an hour. We had fun rolling pieces of it up into balls and then using a rolling pin to flatten them and see what the 'monsters' came out like.

We wrapped up the day by starting a little monster book. I had her decorate these monsters and tell me where they lived and a fun fact about them and then I colored them little backgrounds and wrote their "stories' on the bottom of the page. She really wanted to name them all French Fry Cheese so I had to work with her a bit on the names but it came out pretty cute. 😂 Stay tuned to see what we get into the rest of the week!
