It's the age of princesses and pirate ships...
We're starting a new theme this week and I'm pretty excited for this one. Since Halloween is coming up I wanted to do some abstractly Halloween themed stuff so this week (in addition to reviewing A, B, and C) we're having Make Believe week! Each day we're gonna have a different fun make believe theme. Today was princesses and let me tell you...the look on Evie's face when she saw me wearing a tiara and fluffy dress and realized she could wear her princess dress all day long was priceless.
She opted to wear her Aurora dress today and we started with a sensory bin filled with water beads and a bunch of princesses, including her current favorite; Princess Poppy. It's not the most exciting bin I've done but water beads are always a big hit and she had a lot of fun making up stories about what the princesses were doing in there from going for a swim to being trapped in lava!
Then we made some fairy princesses with toilet paper rolls and some fun accessories. We got this kit at Michaels and while it was lots of fun it also didn't stick well (we had to break out the glue gun) and it was tricky for Evie to do without a ton of help. She did enjoy playing with them after we finished though!
We decorated some princess crowns, did some activity sheets, and wrapped up our day by dancing around as per usual. ;P Stick around to see what fun things we have in store for the rest of the week!
