Tampa/Dunedin and the Glazer Childrens Museum...

Today is our last day at our pool house so we decided to spend the day exploring and relaxing. We stayed in Dunedin and it's such a cute little town. It even has a little trolley which will take you around the city and to the beach.
We found lots of little shops, colorful art installations, and more breweries than I've ever seen in such a small area.
We had planned to spend a good chunk of our morning in Tampa at the Glazer Childrens Museum. I have a Cincinnati Museum Centers pass and it's gotten me into many museums for half price or less so it was a cheap and potentially fun activity since the morning was supposed to be rainy.
We ended up getting in for free and I was really glad about that by the time we got into the museum because to be frank...it was terrible. There was a water installation which most museums have but it was geared towards how rivers contribute to larger bodies of water so it mostly just had some dams and some water spouts that Evie had a hard time turning on. Upstairs there was a reading area which appeared to be for very small kids as it had buttons that read stories to you but not a lot of interactive spots.
On the other side of the story area was an activity center where you could get an activity from an employee. Had we not done the activity we'd have been in and out of this museum in about 30 minutes. As it stands we spent less than an hour there all told. While I love Cincy's museum for kids I always think it's a little small but I feel really grateful now to be close to it because if we had a museum like Tampa's, we'd never go! Just really not worth the money at all. We paid the same price (or would have done) for Boston's museum which has four floors of activities and which we've easily spent five or six hours in on many visits.
Evie actually spent more time and got more enjoyment out of the fountain that was outside! At least it was free though and it did take up a little bit of our morning. After we finished up there and explored Dunedin and got lunch we went back to the house to swim and start packing up for tomorrow! :)
