The most magical place on Earth...

For day two of our vacation we went to Disney World! Evie has already been to Disneyland when she was younger and she really enjoyed it. This wasn't part of our original vacation plans (although neither was Disneyland when we went there!) but there was no way we could be so close and not go. We set off early in the morning and got there around opening. One thing I will say about the Disney World experience is that it was FRUSTRATING. Like...REALLY frustrating. When we went to Disneyland on a whim it was a pretty painless experience. We drove up, parked, walked in through Downtown Disney and spent a fun and stress free day at the park. Not the case at all with this. We had trouble figuring out where to park, the trams were super slow to get us from the parking lot to the park, then we had to wait AGAIN for the monorail. That was also packed although someone did move at the last second to at least allow Evie to sit down. After all that we had to wait in line to get tickets because ours were purchased online and apparently you can't enter with digital tickets (it's 2022 Disney, get it together)! After all that we FINALLY managed to get into the park. It took us about an hour give or take from parking to the actual park.

The park was pretty packed so we didn't get to ride much but I expected that and Evie isn't huge on riding things anyway. We did an Ariel seashell ride, met some princesses (Evie LOVED meeting Elena!), rode the teacups, grabbed lunch, went for a spin on a Buzz Lightyear ride which was super fun (and Evie hated lol), and then we did some more princess meets, and rode the It's a Small World ride which is always Evie's favorite. She begged to do that one again. lol and after that we headed out. We spent from 9AM to about 7PM at the park. We did a little shopping and Evie got some new ears. The experience of getting out of the park was pretty much as frustrating as getting in. We waited for the monorail only to find out it was down, then had to wait again for a ferry, then the tram, then finally our car. It took us another hour to get out to our car. I think if I did Disney World again I'd make it a full trip and stay on the resort because it seems like it would be less stressful. Still it was an overall positive experience and we had a lot of fun. It took me my whole life to get to both parks and Evie has hit both now before the age of 6. Spoiled kid. :P I love being able to have these experiences with her. That really is the best part. :) Stay tuned for day three!
