...and that was the first day

Well todays the day! It's not our OFFICIAL first day of at home preschool since it is a holiday and I didn't have to work my primary job today but we decided to kick things off with a bang anyway and try to follow our new schedule for the week today. It actually went pretty well. We spent the morning doing some activity worksheets and singing and dancing..

Then we moved on to some art later in the early afternoon. We made these fun handprint fireworks in honor of Labor Day. Evie had a ton of fun using her glue stick and glitter to jazz them up.

After lunch we hit the pool for an hour or so and then we came back and made some slime to play with. Evie didn't love how sticky it was so we played with some water beads for awhile too.

And we ended our day with a trip to the park, a picnic, and some reading! I got these cute little books which are abridged for kids and they also turned out to be interactive. These are two of my favorite books; Anne of Green Gables and Pride and Prejudice. This company makes other titles as well and it's just so cute and fun to share them with Evie in an age appropriate and interactive way.

This week is a short week but we're prepped and ready so hopefully tomorrow goes smoothly as well!
